Description
A private hospital embarked on digitization through a Real-Time Location System (RTLS) using passive UHF RFID technology, overcoming challenges of migrating from manual systems to autonomous digitization. Technical hurdles included detuning effects of wristbands, leading to misreads, and RFID cross-reading issues. Solutions involved designing specialized tags and software algorithms to mitigate detuning effects and minimize false location reporting. Despite initial staff resistance, successful implementation led to improved patient management, with staff now championing the system’s benefits.
